My Father immigrated from Mexico. My Mother moved around too often as a child, at times homeless. Both grew up in poverty and worked hard to break the cycle of poverty, not for themselves, but for their family. As a professor of biotechnology, elected servant leader, and family man, I am guided by the same dedicated work ethic and commitment to leave the world a better place for generations to come. I am committed to doing what it takes to ensure we have a vibrant economy with employers that provide good-paying jobs, increased quality housing for all, and quality of life. Throughout my first term as a City-Councilmember elected to represent District 3 in 2020, I have extensively focused on building relationships with members throughout our community to better serve all residents of Vacaville, including historically marginalized communities.
